chevron iphone case

I've been an internet-having person for almost a week now, and I'm so excited to get back to blogging!

Only three things were broken during my cross-country move: a ceramic planter, a casserole dish, and my iphone case. That last one was less the fault of he-who-packed (Chris), and more the fault of my butterfingers. After I dropped my phone on the pavement for the second time, the case would not click back together, and I knew it was time to get a new one.

I got pretty excited, because I've been eyeing these cross-stitch iphone cases for months. After the Purl Bee did a post with some fresh designs, I knew it was just a matter of time.

I ordered it last week, and decided to go with orange after a discussion with my sister about an orange and purple palette for my new living room, inspired by this lamp. It might not work for the living room, but it sure as heck works for the iphone case.

I did a simple pattern of chevrons inspired by a certain popular designer, with the intention of some day doing a more complicated pattern. However, cross stitch is kind of a bitch! It's been years since I last tried it, and I totally forgot that it takes for. ev.er. It's a good thing I love the finished product!
